16 TENSES

1.   Simple present tense

S + TOBE + O

Example : You are lazy

2.   Present continous tanse

Present      : S +  V₁       + O

Continous : S + TOBE + V _ing  + O

                    S + TOBE + V _ing  + O

 Example : I am writing the letter to my friend

3.   Present perfect tense

Present    : S + V₁ + O

Perfect    : S + Has/Have + V₃ + O

              S + Has/Have + V₃  + O

Example : I have been here just now

4.   Present perfect continous tense

Present      : S + V₁  + O

Perfect       : S + has/have + V₃ + O

Continous : S + tobe + V_ing  + O

            S + has/have + been + V_ing + O

Example : We have been living in surabaya for three years

5.   Simple past tense

Past : S +  V₂  +  O

Example : I was a girl

6.   Past Continous tense

Past           : S +  V₂  +  O

Continous : S + tobe + V_ing  + O

                  S + was/here + V_ing  +  O

Example : You here sleeping all night yesterday

7.   Past perfect tense

Past            : S +  V₂  +  O

Perfect       : S + has/have + V₃ + O

                S + had + V₃ + O

Example : I had been here before 2014

8.   Past perfect continous tense

Past            : S +  V₂  +  O

Perfect       : S + has/have + V₃ + O

Continous  : S + tobe + V_ing  + O

               S + had + been + V_ing + O

Example : I had studying here since 2014

9.   Simple future tense

Future : S + shall/will + V₁ + O

Example : I shall be here tomorow

10.                     Future continous tense

Future        : S + shall/will + V₁ + O

Continous  : S + tobe + V_ing  + O

               S + shall/will + be + V_ing  + O 

Example : I shall be visiting tantular museum tomorow

11.                     Future perfect tense

Future        : S + shall/will + V₁ + O

Perfect       : S + has/have + V₃ + O

        S + shall/will + has/have + V₃  + O

Example : We shall have been here last january

12.                     Future perfect continous tense

Future        : S + shall/will + V₁ + O

Perfect       : S + has/have + V₃ + O

Continous : S + tobe + V_ing  + O

       S +  shall/will + has/have + been + V_ing  + O

Example : I shall have been going to Bali for a week

13.                     Past future tense

Past            : S +  V₂  +  O

Future        : S + shall/will + V₁ + O

        S + should/would + V₁ + O

            Example : I should be in Jakarta next week

14.                     Past Future Continous tense

Past            : S +  V₂  +  O

Future        : S + shall/will + V₁ + O                          

Continous : S + tobe + V_ing  + O

        S + should/would + be + V_ing + O

Example : We should be playing football last week

15.                     Past future perfect tense

Past            : S +  V₂  +  O

Future        : S + shall/will + V₁ + O

Perfect       : S + has/have + V₃ + O

S + should/would + has/have + been + O

Example : I should have been here if he met you

Continous : S + tobe + V_ing  + O

S + should/would + has/have + been + V_ing   + O

Example :  I should have been working in the offiec for   two years las year
